Weight Loss Chicken Stew Recipe | Non Veg Soup Recipes | Fat Loss | Indian Fasting Diet by Richa

🛒 Ingredients:
Main Ingredients:
Country Chicken (bone-in preferred) – 500g
Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) – 2 tbsp
Fresh Curd (full fat) – 2 tbsp
Hot Water – 2 to 3 cups (for stew base)

Vegetables:
Onion – 2 medium (sliced)
Tomato – 2 medium (roughly chopped)
Garlic – 6-7 cloves (crushed or chopped)
Ginger – 1-inch piece (grated or finely chopped)
Green Chili – 1 to 2 (slit or chopped)
Fresh Coriander (leaves and stems) – handful
Lemon – 1 (for final squeeze)

Whole Spices:
Bay Leaf – 1
Cinnamon – 1 small stick
Green Cardamom – 2
Black Cardamom – 1
Cloves – 3-4

Ground Spices:
Turmeric – ½ tsp
Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chili Powder – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste

👩‍🍳 How to Make Chicken Stew for Weight Loss (Instructions)
🔥 Step 1: Heat Ghee & Temper Spices
In a pressure cooker, heat 2 tbsp ghee.
Once hot, add all whole spices: bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamoms, and cloves.
Sauté for 30 seconds until aromatic. Do not burn.

🧄 Step 2: Add Aromatics
Add garlic and ginger, sauté briefly.
Add sliced onions and cook until they turn light golden brown.
Add a pinch of salt to help onions caramelize faster.

🍅 Step 3: Add Tomatoes & Green Chilies
Add chopped tomatoes and green chili.
Cook for 4-5 minutes until tomatoes become soft and mushy.

🍗 Step 4: Add Chicken & Cook
Add the 500g chicken (preferably with bones for better flavor).
Sauté the chicken pieces for 4-5 minutes with onion-tomato mixture.

🧂 Step 5: Add Ground Spices
Now add:
~ ½ tsp turmeric
~ 1 tsp coriander powder
~ 1 tsp cumin powder
~ ½ tsp Kashmiri red chili
~ Salt to taste
Mix well and roast everything together for 2-3 minutes.

🥣 Step 6: Add Curd & Hot Water
Add 2 tbsp fresh curd, mix well so it doesn’t curdle.
Pour in 2 to 3 cups of hot water (avoid cold water to maintain meat tenderness).

🍲 Step 7: Pressure Cook
Close the lid and cook for 3 whistles on medium flame.
Switch off the gas and allow the pressure to release naturally.

⛱️ Step 8: Strain the Stew (Optional but Recommended)
Strain the stew using a sieve to remove all whole spices and solid bits.
Return the clear stew liquid to a pot and set aside the chicken pieces.

🌿 Step 9: Final Touches
Add back the chicken pieces into the clear stew broth.
Garnish with:
~ Chopped coriander
~ Lemon juice (only after turning off the heat)
~ Green chili (optional, for extra spice)
