Raghurajpur- The Art Village Of Odisha | English NEWJ

This is Raghurajpur, also known as the ‘Art Village Of Odisha’. It is situated 14 kms away from the pilgrimage town of Puri, on the southern banks of river Bhargavi. The village is known for its collection of not just arts and crafts but also its artists. While most villages are typically expected to have plain and simple houses, the houses in Raghurajpur defy these norms. The walls of the houses here can be found converted into murals. In the 2000s, the village was developed as a heritage village by the Indian National Trust For Art and Cultural Heritage.
