Oppo announces ‘next-generation’ under-display selfie camera
claiming it allows for a selfie camera to be placed under the display “without compromising the integrity of the screen.” Unlike earlier approaches that reduce pixel density in the portion of the screen that covers the camera in order to let more light pass through, Oppo is using smaller pixels to maintain the same 400-ppi sharpness as the rest of the OLED panel.
Xiaomi is all set to introduce its Mi Mix 4 on August 10 and ahead of the announcement, CEO Lei Jun took to Weibo to share some teasers for the device. The first one shows the device’s silhouette alongside the August 10 launch date. The teaser confirms Mix 4’s uninterrupted display which is expected to have an under-display camera (UDC)
