Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell has encouraged Professor Marcia Langton to moderate her language on the Voice to Parliament after the Indigenous academic was filmed calling out racist ‘No’ voters.

Mr Clennell revealed on Wednesday a video that was filmed in July of the professor labelling those against the Voice "racist".

“During this campaign, someone like Noel Pearson started off pretty bolshie but in recent months he has deliberately moderated his language to try to get the Yes campaign over the line,” Mr Clennell said.

“Perhaps Marcia Langton could learn a lesson from that because she's not helping the cause of the Voice at all at the moment.”

Sky News host Sharri Markson also revealed exclusive footage of Ms Langton on Tuesday in which the Indigenous leader accused the No campaign of using tactics based on “racism” or “sheer stupidity”.

Mr Clennell added that the Yes campaign fortunately has four weeks of campaigning still to go until the referendum.

“This is a disaster for the Yes campaign, I don’t think it can be seen any other way,” Mr Clennell said.

“Australians don’t like being called racist, they are sensitive to it, and they are sensitive to any suggestion of it.”
