Why Monsoon is the Best Time to Visit Chikmagalur: A Scenic Journey.. Part 1.

In this June, we ventured to the lush green paradise of Chikmagalur during the monsoon season, and it was an experience like no other! Our journey began with an early morning train from Bangalore to Kadur Station, followed by a scenic bus ride to Chikmagalur. The rain-soaked landscapes were breathtaking as we made our way to our destination, arriving around noon.

Upon arrival, we took an auto to our cozy stay at Cloud 9 Resort, nestled deep within the forest and surrounded by coffee plants. With a rate of ₹2,000 per night per person, including food, the resort offered the perfect blend of comfort and nature. After a restful first day, we rented a scooter for ₹1,500 (for two days) to explore the stunning surroundings.

One of the highlights of our trip was visiting Mullayanagiri, the highest peak in Karnataka, located in the Chandra Dhrona Hill Ranges of the Western Ghats. The views were absolutely stunning, and the day was filled with adventure and awe-inspiring moments.

After a fun-filled day, we returned to our room, enjoying a simple meal of Maggi noodles. There’s so much more to explore, and we can’t wait to share the rest of our Chikmagalur adventure with you. Stay tuned for more exciting updates in our next video!
