Isaiah, age 28, is a Santa Barbara resident with an attunement to local systemic service gaps. Isaiah let us know that he believes homelessness can be prevented for young adults if there are more supportive services available for adolescents living in Section 8 housing with their families. We are so grateful for his willingness to share about his journey to housing for #WorldHomelessDay 2025.

In recognition of #WorldHomelessDay on October 10, @cityofgoleta, @pathpartners, @sbactnow, and @sb_rescuemission are partnering together to share a series of 9 stories of South SB County locals with lived experience of homelessness. Special thanks to @vote_oscar_sb for donating your time and filming expertise.

We will also be sharing stories to local media about how local leaders have had their hearts touched by local homelessness issues, and what they hope to do about it.

On Thursday, November 6 from 5-8pm we will have a table in the @downtownsantabarbara First Thursday Art Walk on State Street. Stop by and pick up informational cards and a care kit or two that you can distribute to anyone you see who might be in need.
