Beyoncé experienced an unexpected technical malfunction during her latest Cowboy Carter tour stop, and handled it with the poise and professionalism she’s known for. At the Saturday, June 28 show in Houston, Texas, the singer was performing “16 Carriages” while suspended in a floating car above the crowd.

Mid-performance, the car suddenly tilted steeply in midair. Beyoncé initially continued singing, but then calmly said into the microphone, “Stop, stop, stop.” The platform was then slowly lowered so she could safely step off.
