secrets describes rachael’s experience growing up in the mormon church and things about herself she felt the need to hide. the chorus asks the question: do we intentionally keep our secrets safe, or are we bound to silence by our trauma?

“'untitled” was my first song out into the world after years of silencing my voice out of fear. It holds such a special place in my tender heart. it’s a song about being gay, smoking weed, losing religion, finding truth, and accepting the unknown. after all—no god is better than a god who doesn’t care. in the end, I found salvation in my body, in my words, in my actions. which is pretty damn cool if you ask me."
