The following events were all recorded in #Caledonia, #Ontario, Canada. I am a filmmaker and was working on a docu-series called “Stories From 1492”. This series can be found on my official Facebook page and YouTube channel. During production, I was made aware that the Ontario Provincial Police were operating a number of sophisticated RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft System, otherwise known as aerial #drones) over the site of the ongoing land dispute and over the nearby Six Nations of the Grand River Indian Reserve. My Facebook Live videos quickly found a large audience and the coverage of their #illegal and dangerous drone operations greatly upset the OPP command in the area. They quickly issued BOLOs (be on the lookout) for me and my vehicle. This resulted in sustained, repetitive #harassment by a number of constables and sergeants. This short film documents just some of the many encounters I had with the OPP in the time I covered 1492 Land Back Lane.

The rules around the operation of RPAS (drones) are covered in the Aeronautics Act, RSC 1985, c A-2, specifically Canadian Aviation Regulations SOR/96-433. I have recorded the OPP aerial surveillance team violating the following rules: s.901.11, 901.16, 901.26, and 901.41(1). The make and model the OPP use include the DJI Matrice 300RTK feat. the Zenmuse H20T (for more information ➜ https://candrone.com/collections/m300...) The OPP does not want you to have this information. I am making it public despite their refusal to release any documentation about the make, model, cost, or total number in inventory.
