How To Bend Forward Properly | How to Lift Things Well | Healthy Manual Handling Techniques

Описание к видео How To Bend Forward Properly | How to Lift Things Well | Healthy Manual Handling Techniques

Back school trainers usually teach that the golden rule of manual handling is: bend your knees to go down and lift weight. This is a physiological lie which has caused many cases of knee pain, lower back pain and disc hernia!

Let me demonstrate the 3 healthy techniques to lift a load, and show you when they are best applicable: we have
lift a foot for light weights directly on the floor
bring a foot backwards for medium weights at mid height
bend your knees for heavy loads above your knees...

And guess what! There's nothing foreseen by Mother Nature to carry heavy weight directly from the ground. This is the drama of many professions such as paramedics, and this is why we all need a good ergonomist to think about technical and organisational alternatives.

If you like this video, share it with your family and friends, and help them protect their back as well!
