Paralysis Patient Recovery Medicines | Important Medicines In Paralysis Recovery | Dr. Puru Dhawan

In this video, Dr. Puru Dhawan will talk about the medication which a paralysis patient should never stop taking.

What causes paralysis?
Paralysis is caused due to two major reasons: brain stroke and brain hemorrhage. Both affect the blood supply into the brain, leading to movement failure of niche parts.

The brain damage could be recovered by medication and regular exercise. A treatment that enhances the mechanism of neuroplasticity and recovering brain functions could help the patient recover more delightfully.

Importance of Medications

Medicines and drugs are generally prescribed specifically according to the type of paralysis. It also includes the medication that helps control the root cause of the disease. For example, in cases of stroke due to high blood pressure or Diabetes, the patient is given regular medications to control these. These medications are given to the patient even after they are recovered.

Why not discontinue BP or Sugar medications?

Paralysis patients are also given medication for their BP or Sugar if they have it. But, when patients see no improvement, they often stop taking all the medicines. This could be dangerous as it increases the chances of reoccurrence of a paralysis attack. So, A patient that has been given cholesterol, blood thinners, and anti-platelet medications must not stop taking them even if they are recovered.

We, at SRIAAS, have formed a whole stroke program, investing the strength of Ayurvedic treatment in neuro-rehabilitation. This particular integration fastens the recovery method and offers the patient and caregivers exceptional edges.
