Flamingos on Naxos island

72 Greater Flamingos made a stop on the biggest wetland of Naxos island and the South Aegean Sea during their long journey as they are heading north for the summer.
The island wetlands play a vital role on the migratory journeys of wild birds as resting and replenishment grounds and require protection and respect both from us and the authorities.
All footage was taken by Naxos Wildlife Protection with zoom lenses without disturbing the birds.
