We have an early review of "Cuckoo," a stylish and disturbing thriller that grows frustratingly complicated as it goes along. Still, we enjoyed the look of the film and the performances, particularly from Hunter Schafer and Dan Stevens. Schafer plays a 17-year-old named Gretchen who's forced to move to a resort in the Bavarian Alps with her father and his new family. Strange things start happening almost immediately, but no one will listen to her. Written and directed by Tilman Singer. Co-starring Marton Csokas, Jessica Henwick and Greta Fernandez. In theaters Aug. 9.
