DOLBADARN CASTLE is a Welsh Castle built ( Most highly likely ) by LLYWELYN THE GREAT ( in Welsh that's LLYWELYN AP IORWERTH) in the late 12th or 13th century and was the sole protector of THE LLANBERIS PASS in SNOWDONIA, standing guard over the very strategic route inland from CAERNARFON to the UPPER CONWY VALLEY.

This Castle sits up high on a hill overlooking the waters of LLYN ( LAKE ) PADARN and LLYN PERIS and was a very important link in the defences of the ancient kingdom of Gwynedd.

DOLBADARN CASTLE is one of the finest of WALES NATIVE BUILT CASTLES and in this video Anna teaches some history from when it was first built up to today and also teaches some Welsh and Welsh pronunciation.
