All-in-one method (where all the ingredients are put into the bowl at the same time and beaten together) is simple, quick to make. ⬇️🇬🇧RECIPE for Victoria Sponge Cake
Ingredients
For 8 inch cake tins

225 g butter, softened
225 g caster sugar
225 g self-raising flour
4 eggs
2 tsp baking powder

4 tbsp raspberry jam
Icing sugar for dusting

Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, add the softened butter, caster sugar, eggs, baking powder and flour.
Beat everything well with a mixer.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease two 8-inch round cake tins, lining the bottoms with parchment paper.
Divide the batter evenly between two tins. Smooth the tops.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, or until the cakes are golden brown, shrink from the sides, and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
Remove the cakes from the oven and allow them to cool in the tins for 5-10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Once the cakes are completely cooled, spread one layer with raspberry jam.
Place the other cake layer on top to sandwich them together.
Dust the top of the cake with icing sugar for a decorative finish.

20 cm kepimo formoms

225 g minkšto sviesto
225 g smulkaus cukraus
225 g miltų kepiniams
4 kiaušiniai
2 šaukšteliai kepimo miltelių

4 šaukštai aviečių džemo
Cukraus pudros pabarstymui

Gaminimo eiga
Į didelį dubenį sudėkite sviestą, cukrų, kiaušinius, kepimo miltelius ir miltus.
Viską išplakite mikseriu iki vientisos masės.
Orkaitę įkaitinkite iki 180°C (350°F) ir riebalais patepkite dvi 20 cm kepimo formas, pagrindus ištieskite kepimo popieriumi.
Tešlą lygiai padalinkite tarp formų, išlyginkite paviršių.
Kepkite 20-30 minučių, arba kol viršus paruduos, šonai 'atšoks' nuo kepimo formos, o įsmeigus pagaliuką į biskvito centrą, jis liks sausas ir švarus.
Išimkite biskvitus iš orkaitės, palikite 5-10 min kepimo formose, tik tuomet perkelkite ant grotelių visiškai atvėsti.
Kai biskvitai atvės, ant vieno iš biskvitų užtepkite aviečių džemo.
Dėkite kitą biskvitą ant viršaus, 'sutepkite sumuštinį'.
Torto viršų pabarstykite cukraus pudra. Tiekite.
