UDHAMPUR, J&K: More than three and a half years after the standoff between Indian and Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh began, the “situation is stable but sensitive and not normal,” says Northern Army Commander Lt Gen. Upendra Dwivedi. In the first of our ground reports in our series, 'The Himalayan Frontier', in this exclusive interview with StratNews Global Editor-in-Chief Nitin A. Gokhale at the Northern Command headquarters, he said of the seven friction points, five have been resolved and there’s a need to re-establish trust.
