This is a much longer version of my last trip to the off Grid Cabin. Some of you asked for it so here it is. Planning trips to the cabin around snowfalls can backfire and sometimes we get more snow than expected. If need be I can spend several days at the cabin until the roads are plowed. There is no way to check road conditions of backroads online and its a long trek to the nearest road from the cabin. As you can imagine getting picked up can be tricky. Working around the weather is common during the winter. We ended up not getting as much snow as predicted but I stayed at the cabin one extra night anyway.
