Tuensang: Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground inaugurated

The inauguration of Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground and opening ceremony of the 30th Loyem Memorial Trophy (LMT) organized by Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) and Organising Committee, LMT was held at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground, Tuensang on November 5.
Bharat Scouts & Guides Bagpipe Band, Tuensang village received Neiphiu Rio, Chief Minister of Nagaland who graced the occasion as the special guest and inaugurated the ground.
The dedicatory prayer was pronounced by Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary, Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen. The CWS flag was hoisted by Chief Minister and Chang Anthem was sung. In the opening ceremony, the programme was chaired by Anyak and Sangli.
M Mongba, Convenor, LMT delivered the welcome address, while a rendition of the song ‘Waving flag’ was performed by Langa. Keynote address was given by C Pongsu, President, CWS which was followed by an aerobic display by Metabolic Fitness.
Short speeches were also delivered by Er Zale Neikha, Advisor, YRS; Toyang Changkong, MLA, President, Chang Khulei Setshang and President, Angami Sports Association.
After an oath taking of the players by the Games and Sports Secretary, CWS, the special guest gave his speech.
Later, in the exhibition match between Angami Sports Association (ASA) and Chang Sports Association (CSA), the match ended 1-2.
Khumba and Mongko scored goal apiece for CSA while the lone goal for ASA was scored by Mhasivoutuo.
