Arid Cycle of erosion was a later addition to cycle of erosion by Davis. It describes how desert mountains go through stages in evolution from youth through mature and senile stages.
It is not same as Pediplanation cycle of L C King.
Arid cycle may be considered as a special case of river erosion cycle operation in Deserts landscapes typical of N America which has faulted features with ridge-basin topography.
