Welcome to another video! A FEW DAYS IN SAIGON || Overnight train Saigon to Da Nang ~ Vietnam Travel Vlog ~

In today's video I bring you along with me on a few days in Saigon Vietnam! Ho Chi Minh was an amazing place and I wish we had more time to explore! We arrived late Thursday night before heading to our hotel at the Sherwood Residence in District 1. We stayed in 2x three bedroom executive apartments Sam and I explored District 1 in attempt to find a decent coffee shop and found ourselves at Là Việt Coffee Saigon which we actually really liked the coffee at - highly recommend! We went back here on day two which means we like it! On the afternoon of day 1 we hired a grab to take us to the Cu Chi Tunnels - these were incredible! I loved the experience and found it incredibly interesting! We were really torn on whether to book a tour or just take ourselves there, and ended up opting for the latter. Our main concern was how to actually get out there but we managed to order a grab who agreed to wait for us and take us home! The Cu Chi tunnels is a MUST DO in Ho Chi Minh city. For dinner on night one we went to our friends Pizza place called Pizza & Bia! They had a Bahn Mi pizza which was INCREDIBLE!

On Day 2, we got coffee at La Viet again before heading our for a nice birthday lunch for my sister. At recommendation by our expact friends, we went to The Deck in Saigon. It gave me Bali vibes tbh! Following lunch we went to the Ben Thanh Market and then got a massage at MIDO LUXURY SPA!

Once we got back to the hotel, we packed our bags and checked out heading to the train station to catch our overnight train from Saigon to Da Nang. The train is roughly 18 hours long leaving at 7pm and arriving at 1:30pm the following day in Da Nang. We booked the private 4x birth rooms to accommodate all of us! It was such a great experience. We did have a bit of a ... hiccup. At 4:30 the train jolted to a stop and the overhead speakers instructed everyone to get off. We grabbed all our things as quickly as possible as we were unsure what was happening and how long they would wait for us. We walked onto a road where multiple busses were waiting. We hadn't gone to the bathroom or gotten changed out of our PJs! It was hilarious and chaotic af! We got squished onto a bus with leaking aircons and had no idea whether they planned to take us all the way to Da Nang or just to another train etc. Nobody spoke English and so we just... went with the flow! We spent 4 hours on the bus before they got us onto a new train! Turns out there was an avalanche which covered the tracks and they needed to take us to the next station! We then slept, played cards and ate the rest of the train ride before arriving in Hoi An!
