Mia set Section 2 (Albany, NY area) records in the 55m (6.95), 100m (11.89), and 200m (23.94) while running for Schalmont High School. She also won the 2020 New York State title over the 55.

D'Ambrosio's dominance earned her D-I status at NC State, where she competed at a high level. However, lower back injuries put her career on hold. So much to the point where she could no longer sprint.
