The Sewol-ho ferry recovery operation is back on track after a slight delay overnight.
This as Korea's National Assembly has launched a special committee that will support the operation... and investigate the sinking.
Oh Jung-hee reports.
Authorities are pouring all their efforts into ensuring the recovered Sewol-ho ferry will be on its way to Mokpo New Port on Thursday as scheduled.

The recovery operation faced a slight delay on Monday evening when workers drilled four holes into the ferry to let out excess water,... but oil leaked out instead.
The drilling has been suspended, but will resume once the ferry is on land at Mokpo New Port.

Until then, workers will remove buoyancy tanks used to bring the ferry above the water's surface... and securely fix the ferry to a semi-submersible.
To facilitate the process, two boats have been moved to each side of the ferry,... allowing engineers to move around more easily.

Back in Seoul, lawmakers have elected the members for a parliamentary committee that'll lead the recovery operation.
The committee will consist of five members elected by the National Assembly... and three members chosen by the victims' families.
Most are experts in maritime and shipping technology.
The committee will support efforts to find the nine passengers who are still missing... and the search for the exact cause of the ferry sinking.
It will also be in charge of managing the items recovered from the ferry... and will decide what to do with the ferry once the investigation is over.
