HIGH ALTITUDE FLYING PREPARATIONS - NO SOUND

Описание к видео HIGH ALTITUDE FLYING PREPARATIONS - NO SOUND

(19 Nov 1959)

Our cameraman covered preparations for high altitude flights in one of the scientific laboratories. In this pressure chamber the atmospheric pressure is lowered as if flying into high altitudes. The flight has begun - the pilot wears special high altitude flight equipment. There is a small fog cloud inside the chamber when the flight is fast. These implements register the conditions of men in high altitudes On special centrifugal stand the pilots are being trained on the effect when great speed is developed. You can see the smooth parts of the face are deformed when the person is stromgly accelerated. The straining at the laboratory is the first step of the preparations for pilots who start out for high altitudes with speeds.
