Gabriella Nel shares her experience surviving climbing Mt Everest in its deadliest season. She shares her story of the trials, challenges and lessons learnt while breaking two records on the highest mountain in the world. She highlights the importance of pursuing your individual pathway to your goals, whatever they may be and embracing the twists and turns along the way. Gabriella Nel is a doctor at Joondalup Hospital from South Africa. She graduated from the University of Western Australia in 2022 after serving on the frontline during the covid pandemic in Johannesburg and Cape Town. Beyond medicine she is a professional mountaineer and has summited multiple peaks around the world with the mission of empowering women while supporting various charities and organisations along the way. In May of 2023, she officially became the youngest medical doctor globally and the youngest South African to Summit Mount Everest.
