We started the morning in a marsh hole beside flooded timber, hunting from a pit blind and bagging 5 ducks before lunchtime. After a quick break, we moved to a timber hole for the afternoon, where the mallards worked beautifully. With just 1.5 hours left to hunt, the action heated up as they dropped right into the timber, bringing us close to a 4-man limit.
