So can you tell when someone is in love simply by looking at their eyes? Dr. Nafey shares that while this technically is possible, it's probably not a fool-proof test you should use.

There is indeed a physiological response to excitement and love that causes the pupils to dilate. The medical term is "mydriasis." But that happens during fear and other emotions as well. So you may be receiving a signal that wasn't quite intended for you.
