Agniveer Naveen Jhakar 🛐💐🫡⬇️

Agniveer Naveen Jakhar, a 20-year-old soldier from Salhawas village in Jhajjar district, Haryana, tragically lost his life during a training session in the Baramulla sector of Jammu and Kashmir on April 23, 2025. He had joined the Indian Army under the Agnipath scheme approximately 18 months prior and had recently returned to duty after a period of leave.

Reports indicate that Naveen was accidentally shot during a practice drill. He was immediately rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival. His untimely demise has deeply affected his family and the local community.

Naveen's elder brother, Lokesh, is also serving the nation as an Agniveer in the Indian Navy. Their parents are farmers in Salhawas village. Naveen's mortal remains were brought back to his native village, where he was cremated with full military and state honors. The ceremony was attended by several dignitaries, including State Cooperative Minister Arvind Sharma, Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda, and Jhajjar MLA Geeta Bhukkal, who paid their respects.

In recognition of his sacrifice, the Haryana government has announced an ex-gratia grant of ₹1 crore to the families of Agniveers who lose their lives in the line of duty.
