"Beijing's Golden Mountain" is a song adapted from a Tibetan folk song by Ma Zhuo. Starting in 1960, Ma Zhuo spent four years adapting it. The song's popularity began in 1972 when the Central People's Broadcasting Station went to Tibet to record and sang the version by Caidan Dolma. The song has been passed down to this day, and it still frequently appears in various evening parties and vocal competitions. Some people think that "Beijing's Golden Mountain" is an imaginary reference, and that "Golden Mountain" comes from the mountain worship of the Tibetans.
