It’s finally happening for Danish DJ/producer Stoltenhoff: his new Hood Up EP is out on Barong Family. With a raucous sound that drags the Caribbean end of Dutch house into new territories, he should feel right at home. For those that have been keeping an eye out for him, Daniel Stoltenhoff’s acceptance into the family shouldn’t be any surprise, though. He’s already released two singles on fellow Barong member Wiwek’s label and collaborated on Mike Cervello’s Smack EP a year ago.

Stoltenhoff’s Hood Up EP sees the young artist really come into his own, stretching his abilities in different directions whilst keeping a relentless drive forward. After three club explorations of manic intensity, final track ‘Kush Cologne’ allows for a sneaky smoke break at the edge of the floor. He’s a made man now, he can do what he wants.
