Reverse | The Towering Inferno

The movie The Towering Inferno was made in 1974, about the tallest building in the world, situated in San Francisco, catching fire with more than three hundred people trapped inside. A corrupt, cost-cutting owner tries to dodge responsibility, and a tired fire chief must work with the architect to save the many important people at the opening ceremony on the top floor. It is an entirely FICTIONAL movie, and such a tower never existed.

The very interesting and extremely famous movie is produced by IRWIN ALLEN, starring: Paul Newman, Steve McQueen, Fred Astaire, Richard Chamberlain, O. J. Simpson, Jennifer Jones. It was adapted from a pair of novels, The Tower and The Glass Inferno.
