AirPods 2 Microphone Audio Quality Comparison for Bluetooth-Audio Video Capture

AirPods Gen1 microphone audio quality was NOT great. This is me investigating whether audio quality has improved with AirPods Gen2, "Second Generation AirPods" or AirPods2 as some people call them.

Normally I shoot video using Sennheiser wireless microphones, Clip+ audio recorders or tapping into mixing-board audio. But impromptu interviews might happen without any such, gear or time to set up.

What do I always have with me? My iPhone and AirPods.

AirPods (combined with specialty video capture iPhone apps such as Movie Pro or FilMic Pro) can serve as the wireless microphone you always have with you.

1st Gen AirPods used Bluetooth 4.2, and 2nd Gen AirPods use Bluetooth 5.0, so I don't think an improvement in microphone audio quality is a ridiculous expectation.
