An opioid-addiction epidemic has taken hold in America, hitting Ohio especially hard. The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center is determined to become part of the cure for this epidemic.

We’re accomplishing this with multidisciplinary collaborations to build individualized pain-management plans with more medication and therapy options. New surgical protocols, pain-assessment strategies and documentation processes already are reducing patients’ dependence on addictive medications without compromising their satisfaction or pain control.
