I’ve always been drawn to places steeped in mystery, and Rosslyn Chapel is humming with it. Its carvings feel like stone lace—except every detail is different, unpredictable, and impossible to stop staring at. From symbols no one fully understands to wild legends about the Knights Templar — and even a dramatic true story of jealousy and murder captured in the architecture… (I might just need to make a part II to tell that story. It’s incredible) I was awestruck. It’s honestly one of the most fascinating places I’ve ever visited — and I’m grateful for the digital nomad lifestyle that allowed me to finally get here and see it in person.whether you love history, art, music, mystery, or the da Vinci code, this is a “must see” stop if you visit Edinburgh.

Travel Tip: Be sure to call ahead and reserve a ticket before going. The chapel staff is only allowed to permit a limited number of people into the building at the same time and if they’re at full capacity all day, you’ll have made the trip only to get turned away. (It almost happened to me, but I got lucky when a tour group failed to show up!)
