Quick review on a neat solar lantern, no longer available. The alpan solar lantern uses a 6 volt solar panel, pared with a 6 volt battery to run a fluorescent tube for light. It produces over 300 lumens for around 2-3 hours on a full 8 hour charge. Unfortunately the lantern seems to have been discontinued years ago, so it is currently not available anywhere. I thought I'd post this review to show you how the product works and how it can be used as an emergency item.
