Wow, what a run. This has been on my radar as a run I wanted to come back to for a while, so I decided to return after sub 1:30:00 SG 100%, and after a few weeks of routing and running, I got this time! This is incredibly good and I'm very very happy with the run!

At the start of the run, the mental was absolutely terrible. I was thinking of ending stream just before because of a really good run that has just gotten killed by RNG, so that's why my mood was absolutely terrible at the start. I definitely get it back throughout the run though.

We also can't talk about recent developments without talking about unstuck. Unstuck is basically a hardcore glitchless deathwarp - it'll bring you back to the last base you were in, provided it is valid, after 10-11 unstucks. It's incredibly useful in this run and as you can see, I use it to death in this run, which definitely helped save time over my previous world record.

I also wanted to talk about the routing changes we made, because they are the single biggest timesave in the run that we've made. Recently, I theorized that making a seamoth depth module mk 3 may be worth it. It would avoid having to do the bioreactor nonsense I did in the last record if you remember that. I also knew that it would be faster movement-wise, since seamoth triplaning is faster than seaglide. I started working out the route and discovered a few things. I initially thought of building the seamoth depth module mk. 1 using a moonpool and a vehicle upgrade console, so I bumped the southern section of the map up to get the stuff I would need for that first. However, it was just too much of a hassle, so I threw that idea out and decided to just get it in the Aurora. I knew I wanted depth modules by the time I went to mountain, so I still routed the southern section of the map first and then aurora right after so I would have the depth module in time for mountain. I did some working around this new route and eventually ended with this.

Consequently, this is the closest thing to a casual playthrough that any speedrun in this game has done lmao.

I'm gonna include an FAQ since a bunch of people are gonna watch this video:

Q: What exactly is 100% in Subnautica?
A: There’s no exact answer since it is an open-world game, but in the speedrunning sense, we’ve defined it as all achievements, all blueprints, and all databank entries.

Q: You didn't get a Scan/Databank Entry/Blueprint/Achievement!
A: Yes I did .-. If you want to see a complete checklist of everything required for 100% and some of the triggers for achievements, it's all in this spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

Q: How are you breaking rocks so fast?
A: You can bind the scroll wheel to interact with things, including breaking rocks, picking up items, and activating things
