Advice for Set Designers working with Scenic Artists

Two scenic artists Heidi Enzlin Cole & Ana Martinez discuss best practices, give advice and field questions how designers can better communicate with the scenic charge artist. They will also give advice and field questions on how to start your career as a scenic painter in the entertainment industry. What techniques to work on and what tools to buy.

Heidi Enslin Cole is an fine artist & scenic painter, and the current charge painter at California State University Fullerton. Prior to that she was the scenic charge painter at Alabama Shakespeare Festival. Mrs. Cole holds and an M.A. in Theater Production, Humboldt State, B.A. in Education from Whittier College.

Ana Martinez is a freelance scenic painter working on projects ranging from New Wave Escape Rooms to the newly opened Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge at Disneyland, Tokyo Disney's It's a Small World Universal Studios Life of Pets the Ride & Super Nintendo World.
