Windpuff has 9 through hulls, and is only a 30 foot boat. Why? Why so many through hulls? Each through hull is a potential leak point that could sink the boat, so reducing the number of through hulls also reduces your risk of sinking. The goal is to remove all of the through hulls, fiberglass over the holes to seal them up, and get the boat ready to splash so that it can be towed up to Baltimore where work can proceed at a much faster pace.
