And welcome back for one final visit to Telltale’s The Walking Dead—the last stop on this rough, winding journey through a series that’s seen some serious highs and some painful lows.

Going back and revisiting Season 1 was like rediscovering an old favorite song—every beat, every emotional gut punch hit just as hard as it did back in 2012. It reminded me why I fell in love with this game in the first place. But then Season 2 happened, and things started to slip. While it had its moments, it failed to recapture the magic, sidelining Clementine in her own story and relying too heavily on forced drama. And then came A New Frontier, a season so aggressively average and safe that I struggled to even have an opinion on it. It wasn’t bad, it wasn’t good—it just existed, like a filler episode that lasted an entire season.
