Tasmania’s Toughest Burger Menu Challenge in Hobart Weighs Over 8lbs and Costs $120 if You Lose!!

American professional eater Randy Santel vs The Standard's Supersized "Tassie" Beef and Chicken Burger Menu Challenge, hosted by The Standard in the Central Business District (CBD) area of downtown Hobart, Tasmania, Australia!! My beautiful girlfriend ‪@KatinaEatsKilos‬ and I started our giant 2.5 month long 2023 Australia Tour back in early February 2023. We landed first into Sydney, NSW and opened up the trip by attempting 10 different man vs food restaurant eating challenges around the state of New South Wales. Then we headed south to Hobart, Tasmania where I attempted two delicious food challenges. For final challenge #2, we headed to The Standard in the Central Business District (CBD) area of downtown Hobart, Tasmania, so I could attempt and help kick off The Standard's new supersized "Tassie" Beef and Chicken Burger Menu Challenge which all had to be finished within a 1 hour time limit. There were 2 different triple cheeseburgers served with a double fried chicken thigh "Thunderbird" Chicken Burger. Each of the beef burgers had three 180 gram Tasmanian/Aussie beef hamburger patties stacked and layered with slices of cheese plus toppings. There was a "Cowboy" Burger with fried onion rings and bacon, and the "Animal" Burger was similar to the "Animal-style" cheeseburger served by In-N-Out in the Western United States. The "Thunderbird" was supersized too with two large fried chicken thighs, stacked and layered with cheese slices, healthy vegetables, and sauces. The challenge included a large order of loaded Aussie Chicken Parmi Chips and for dessert, a 700 gram freshly baked Tasmanian Apple Pie. The Apple Pie Milkshake I enjoyed with the challenge was just optional, and there were no other drinks or side items required. The entire platter weighed just over 8 pounds, or 3.7 kilograms total. I was trying to become the first champion to win my $120 AUD meal free plus a sweet t-shirt and spot on The Standard's Wall of Fame.
