How do you view your profits when trading crypto--in the base currency or the quote currency?
In the example BTC/USD the base currency is simply the first currency in the pair (BTC), and the quote currency is the second currency (USD).

While traders typically measure their profits in quote currency, it's important to consider how much base currency is accumulated and at what price when trading during a downtrend. This accumulation of base currency is key to making profits when the bull market eventually returns. Please note that some crypto prices may crash and never recover, thus it's important to do your own research before you begin trading. Nothing here should be taken as trading advice.

Bitsgap recently announced an important change to their trailing down feature. Trailing down will no longer be available for bots which take profit in the quote currency; it will be utilized only by bots which take profit in the base currency.
