The Float and Street Parade is slated to return this year as a part of Jamaica’s Diamond Jubilee Celebrations. The spectacle which comes with this exposition of Jamaican creativity will unfold in the streets of capital city Kingston on Emancipation Day – August 1, 2022 starting on Hope Road (in front of the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre) and ending at the National Stadium Car Park.

The Parade will be a virtual pageant-on-wheels, echoing the Rastafarian inspired chant “Peace, Love and Unity”, intending to serve as the creative expression of the collective will and determination of the Jamaican people to re-ignite our efforts to rid our society of crime and violence.

“Re-igniting a Nation for Peace and Love” is a significant response to the Tsunami of crime and violence plaguing the nation. In the context of the parade, its inspiring theme(s) will confront the forces of decadence by displaying a flipside, comprised of an array of achievement imagery, borne by the flotilla of spectacular floats, eye popping costumed groups and a range of exciting performing elements
