Demonstration video showing how to use the Anritsu ShockLine 4 port VNA to de-embed the DVT40 differential GigaProbes® to acquire Differential Insertion/Return loss and Impedance of a differential trace from a PCB.

In the demo, an analysis of a differential trace reveals that a RF connector was designed into the board too close to the trace causing crosstalk between the connector and the differential trace. This shows a common Signal Integrity issue for many designs.

Also the new ShockLine MSG5008 4 port VNA is shown connected to two DVT40 probes in a configuration that can extract S4P differential S-parameters and Impedance. The ShockLine 4 port VNA’s have fast data processing of 30um/point, 4 sources and 8 receivers that enable measurement in one sweep and a built-in LCR display with intelligent software for developing test routines.
