Learn to Sail: Parts of the Laser

Join ASI teacher, Iain, and learn about the Laser! In this video, Iain explains some of the different parts of the Laser, what they are called, and what they are used for. This is part 2 of Iain’s "Learn to Sail" series.

Vocab:
Deck - The topside of the hull
Cockpit - The inside of the hull
Traveler - A line that allows the mainsheet block to move left and right freely
Downhaul - The rope that controls the tension of the luff of a sail
Bowline - A rope attached to the bow of a boat to haul it or anything else of similar nature
