How to Clean M&P 15-22 Rifle: General Cleaning Process

Showing the Disassembly and Cleaning process for the Smith and Wesson M&P 15-22 Rifle and Pistol (15-22p) chambered in .22LR. The S&W M&P15-22 Field Strip process is nearly identical to the full-size AR-15 rifle in .223/5.56, excluding some minor differences due to caliber and operation. As always, having a good cleaning kit with the correct tools and brushes can make this process much easier and quicker!

In this demo, I also include the rare Smith & Wesson M&P 15-22p, which is the pistol variant of this popular firearm. The 15-22p was only in production for a little over a year and has the exact specifications of the rifle, excluding the shorter barrel and lack of stock. Overall a very fun pistol to own and shoot alongside the 15-22 Rifle!
