【くまもと花魁道中について】
くまもと花魁道中は2011年熊本城坪井川園遊会の一部門として、髪・メイク・着付け・衣装制作専門のスタッフが集いすべて手作りでスタートました。最大の特徴は花魁や振袖新造は全て地髪で結い上げていること、演奏は福島竹峰社中よる地方であること。他の地域の花魁道中とは一線を画しています。

2013年には当会のメイン事業の坪井川舟下りに乗船、2015年には花魁が日舞を披露、2019年には“祭りアイランド九州”にも出演、熊本市電を借りきっての花魁電車を運行する等日々進化し続けています。公募する際は多くの方に応募していただき、過去20数名の花魁を輩出しています。

【About the Kumamoto Oiran Procession】
The Kumamoto Oiran Procession began in 2011 as part of the Kumamoto Castle Tsuboigawa Garden Party, with specialized staff in hair, makeup, kimono dressing, and costume creation, all working together to handcraft the event from start to finish. Its most distinctive feature is that the Oiran and Furisode Shinzou's hair are styled using their natural hair, and the music is performed by the Chikuhou Fukuyama Troupe, setting it apart from other Oiran processions in different regions.

In 2013, the Oiran began to participate in our main event, the Tsuboigawa River Boat Ride. In 2015, the Oiran performed traditional Japanese dance, and in 2019, they made an appearance at the "Festival Island Kyushu" and operated an "Oiran Train" on the Kumamoto City Tram. The event continues to evolve, and when open to the public, many people apply. To date, over 20 Oiran have been produced through this initiative.
