In the rural landscapes of El Nido, Palawan, "Dong" tells the extraordinary journey of Jade Baguna, a young man who has dreamed of a successful life someday. As the eldest son of a farmer, Dong spends his childhood harvesting and selling vegetables, tirelessly crossing rivers and walking miles to support his family while excelling in school. Despite the weight of responsibility, Dong's determination drives him forward.

But when he enters college, life pushes him to his limits. Financial struggles threaten to end his education, as debts pile up, and his family back home suffers from a devastating typhoon. On the brink of giving up, Dong clings to the memory of his parents' sacrifices and his dreams of a better future.

Just when all hope seems lost, a lifeline appears in the form of the Tertiary Education Subsidy. With renewed strength, Dong overcomes his financial burdens, and eventually becomes a topnotcher in the Social Work Licensure Exam. His story of resilience brings him to the national stage, where he shared his journey at the Duterte Legacy Summit.

Now an educator, Dong builds a brighter future for his family and inspires others to believe that no dream is out of reach, no matter how far the journey may seem.
