Best alarm for Nissan Silvia S15 200sx. Install guide for Compustar 2 way pager + making spare keys

Now that the S15's/200SX's are becoming super sought after they all deserve the best security you can afford. So why not make it that little more more affordable by knowing how to install it all yourself. This is a detailed how-to guide to installing a Compustar CS2WQ900-AS All-in-One 2-Way Remote Start + Alarm Bundle into the Nissan Silvia.

Wanting to restore the original central locking function in my Nissan Silvia S15, I discovered a common misconception. The Nissan Silvia S15 Immobilizer Control Module 'Q' (part number Q400-30901) actually controls central locking, not the immobilizer. This was confirmed by checking the part number on a database like Amayama. As shown in the video, the car starts even with the module unplugged.

Next, I focused on understanding the S15's immobiliser system. While robust, spare keys are surprisingly easy to make once you know the chip type. Testing the key without the chip triggered the immobilizer warning light (check engine light flashing). Replacing the chip near the key barrel allowed the car to start normally. The other immobilizer component resides in the ECU, which shouldn't be tampered with.

Since many 200SX/S15 owners likely only have one key, this information can help create spares. Copying the key blade is simple, but the key's transponder chip is the crucial element. Look for a locksmith equipped to read and copy your original 4D 60 chip for affordable spare keys.

Finally the installation of the Compustar CS2WQ900 alarm. Armed with the Master Install instructions (linked below) and the S15 full service manual plus a multimeter and some patience I was able to nut out what wire's went where and best of all - using the wiring from the Nissan central locking module. It takes a bit of time to get the wiring sorted, but with this video guide you'll get it done way quicker than me. If you don't have the Q400-30901 module installed under the dash you'll just have to find another way to power up and hook into the indicators/blinkers (won't be hard with the full service manual).

I don't go into FULL detail of where i put each component (for security reasons) but with all of this information plus the pinout / wiring spreadsheets that I made to help guide my process your installation should go super smooth. By the end of the installation process I have upgraded the S15's security with the Compustar successfully and now have
🚨 3000-ft / 914 metres max. range remote lock and unlock + alarm
🚨 2-way interactive LCD remote
🚨 a second one way remote which also controls all of the functions the two pway LCD remote does
🚨 shock sensor which is adjustable to your liking
🚨 a super loud and annoying siren
🚨 two blue flashy LED's (one on the windscreen from the ANT-2WFMX
2-Way FMX Antenna receiver and one on the driver's side dash next to the dash lights dimmer)
🚨 3000-ft / 914 metres max. range breach alert sent to the pager fob if the doors, bonnet or boot are opened with the alarm armed

NOTE:
I didn't wire up the remote start. I've never used it on any other car so don't feel the need to wire it up here
I have pre-wired the remote boot/trunk opener. The Silvia doesn't have a solenoid back there so i'll need to retrofit that in the future. Remote boot opening is super handy!

Hope this video helps you get some new spare keys for your S15 and also gives you the confidence to install an alarm system that'll help protect your investment. I'm sure this information would be transferrable over several systems just that the wire colours/pins from the alarm module would differ.
