Hi. Welcome to another episode of Throttle Itch. Today we're going to talk about base liners and base layers. Now let's start off with base layers. Base layers come by. Klim, Dianese, Alpinestars.... etc. But every one of them performs in a different way. We're going to talk specifically about Klim and Rynox. To start off with, Klim comes with -1.0, 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0. What do all four of these mean? The -1.0 is meant for 45 degrees plus temperatures, which is essentially what most of India is. And essentially works perfectly for us. The 1.0 is meant for conditions up to 35 degrees of temperature, which is some parts of India, but not all. So again, works really well for us. The 2.0 is meant for conditions which are between 20 degrees and about ten degrees, which is not a lot of places in the country. So 2.0 is not really essential for us. The 3.0 is a great winter base liner that is meant specifically for zero degrees till about ten degrees, and is a fantastic base layer if you're really wanting to go to the northeast, Spiti, Leh Ladakh or any of the other high altitude places. So we're going to talk about the first one, which is the -1.0, which is a pure summer base layer. Now, what these base layers are is if you get them in three different colors, you've got a black, you've got a gray, you've got an orange. They come as short sleeves as well as long sleeves. The best part about the Klim base layer, the Klim base layer is, sweat wicking, phenomenal base layer, which you can wear for multiple days over without it ever smelling. That is the best part about the Klim base layer. The -1.0 works really well for us up here in North India. Also works really well in places like Bombay, Pune, Bangalore, Hyderabad, where you have a lot of humidity. So this is great for riding as your first line of defense against the heat. The good part about the Klim -1.0, is that it can also be put into water and then worn, which essentially helps you to get cooler faster. So that's another great thing that you can use it as a base layer that is essentially going to not really feel very damp when you wet it, and it's going to cool you down really quickly. So which is why I personally prefer and use the -1.0. They also come in bottoms, but bottoms are always going to be full bottoms. There is no shorts specifically in the -1.0. They do the exact same job that they will do for your upper body, This is what the lower one would look like. The upper one would essentially be something like this. This is the full sleeves and when we're going to talk about our short sleeves this is what you're going to get. All right. Now the good part about all Klim gear is that they come with a lifetime manufacturing defect warranty, which essentially means as simple as the stitching opening, They will give you a brand new pair. And your base layers are going to last you a lifetime. So the next base layer that we're going to talk about is Rynox. Rynox has made a fairly cheaper version of the Klim. Not very expensive. It costs about 1400 and ₹1,500. It does a similar job. It's not going to protect you from the sweat smell over a couple of days,
but it does the job as well. It's going to take away the sweat, keep you nice and cool when you're riding, and it doesn't make a massive hole in your pocket. The Rynox gear is also not bad for people who are looking for base layers that are going to do the job. They only come as full sleeves and the bottoms come as a full length. You do not have short sleeves in the Rynox base liners. The base liners are again meant as sweat waking devices. and so they are going to cool you down when you are riding in full summers or essentially very humid conditions Thankyou everyone for watching another episode of Throttle Itch.
