19th Annual Gingerbread Construction Contest

More than 130 students gathered in the Food Hall at Stetson West for a much needed break from studying for final exams with Northeastern Dining's 19th annual Gingerbread Construction Contest! This year's event featured 54 gingerbread houses ranging from classically decorated traditional homes to candy interpretations of Frozen II.

The giving theme of the holiday season is also an integral part of the contest. Winners received cash prizes and Northeastern Dining made a matching donation to Economic Mobility Pathways (EMPath). EMPath transforms people’s lives in the greater Boston-area by helping them move out of poverty and provides other institutions with the tools to systematically do the same. The completed gingerbread houses were also taken to Rosie's Place, a Boston-area shelter, to bring holiday cheer to the local community.
