Today, I discuss why the #narcissistdiscard happens when they no longer need anything from the #goldenchild.

What happens when you are no longer the golden child? How narcissists treat their child is a reflection of how they view their child. You were the narcissist favorite child, but now you find the narcissist has removed you from this position of acceptance and you don’t know why or how to respond. What happened and why are you no longer the narcissist favorite child? How narcissists treat their child is exactly how they treat everyone else in their life. They love them and value them until they feel as if they bring no more value to their life. Then the narcissist discard happens and the narcissist rids their child and removes from the position of the golden child. Do narcissists love their child? Yes, as long as the child behaves how they would like and does what the narcissist wants. So then why do narcissists have a golden child? The golden child is the child whom the narcissist feels represents them the most. The golden child is the child the narcissist thinks makes them look the best. The narcissist is over focused on image and they will use their child in their grandiose views of themselves. If you think my mom no longer loves me or my dad no longer loves me, it is possible you have been removed form the position of the golden child, but at no fault of your own.
